Singletrack by definition is a narrow trail. It can sometimes refer to multi-use trails, but much more commonly it is a term used my mountain bikers. Well-designed singletrack trails can have flow, features and obstacles. What makes them fun to ride often does not have much in common with what a hiker or runner may enjoy. While we feel there is certainly a fit for multi-use trails at many locations, we are also big advocates for purpose built trails.
Planning and designing mountain bike singletrack takes creativity and knowing what makes a great trail. Don’t make the mistake of hiring a trailbuilder that is familiar with hiking trails only. We at Planet Zero Gravity are avid riders and also compete in mountain bike races.
